I took a stroll around the park and guess what I found there –
some hippy hustler pushing grass.
Before I knew the score I had a chunk in my pocket –
the first I bought but not the last.
I lit it up and soon my head was spinning –
I did not know which way to go.
I saw the cops were coming so I went into hiding.

Smoking hash just isn´t very law-abiding.
My nerves were all a-shaking so I headed on home wards –

My buddy and his girl came round and we were real happy –

At last the time had come for me to leave this world behind me –
and take a look inside my dreams.
It wasn´t very long before the smoke was ascending –
passed the pipe around and soon the colors were blending.

At first I thought that I had found the perfect solution –
to all the problems in my way.
There didn´t seem to be a single thing that could stop me –
my happiness had come to stay.
It made me sad to see how so much energy got wasted –
just flowing out in empty words.
I felt as if I were some kind of manifestation –
seemed to think that I could change the whole of creation.
But my idea of heaven was just an imitation.
